The Giver and The Dolphin Song

I think that the society in The Giver is not that great because I don’t think it is fair to be released  from the community for when you’re a baby if you don’t sleep well, also when  you playing a game and you don’t catch the ball.  In the city of ember if you mess up there is no such thing as being released. Your just like underground and can’t really do ant thing.

Also in the book Dolphin Song when you little if you don’t sleep well you go to a hospital and seep in a tube thing and after they get to go back home if they are better they don’t get released. 

It’s a nice sunny day in June, and I am at the park doing gymnastics with friends in the field. I’m doing backbends, handstands, splits, and cartwheels. I stop to get a drink of water. I start to run,  I do a cartwheel in to a backbend, finishing with the splits. Physical activity like this is useful to me because it provides weight management, overall fitness, and enjoyment.

When it provides weight management, you can be running and burning calories,  losing weight and having fun. Also overall fitness is a good thing because when its warm out and you don’t want to be in side you can go swimming and play sports because they are very healthy for you.

When you enjoy being healthy and being fit and a good weight, you can do a lot of things and be able to run for long periods of time and go swimming and play a lot of sports and stay active before you know it the day is over and time fly’s by when you are having fun.

See when you are having fun and being active, you can lose weight stay healthy and  be having fun with friends. So  you can also do a lot of things when you want to instead of staying in the house doing nothing. But it, means to me that you can have fun and also stay fit and active. 

Rain

I remember when I was little when it would start to rain I would like to go outside and play in the rain only if it wasn’t thundering or lightning though my mom would always come out side with me and sun around it was always fun to be out die with  mom because she would pick me up and twirl me around and laugh and giggle and have most of the neighbors yelling at us to be quiet and we never did most of the times we would only go outside if it was warm and summer because then I would get sick sometime we would have water fights and walk down to the park we never really hung out with our friends we mostly would hang out with each other and make mother and daughter memories.   

       “Haters hate you and rate you simply because they ain’t you.” In the past, people have looked down on Snooki and thought bad of the way she presented herself.  They have thought of her as a sloppy, pants peeing, drunken, slob, and attention seeker; however, there are many reasons why they should think differently now.  Snooki has grown up completely.  ( she wentfrom the sloppy 23 year old when jersey shore started to a responsible 25 year old.)

Snooki is currently 25 and was born in Chile. She was adopted at 6 months old by an Italian American family now.  Her birth name is Nicole Polizzi.  Nicole (Snooki) Polizzi’s parents are Andy and Helen Polizzi.  In high school Snooki battled an eating disorder and she had dropped to 80lbs. Her high school nurse helped Nicole overcome the disorder.  Also in high school Snooki wanted to be a Vet Tech, so she went to college to be a Vet Tech (Snooki). 

Nicole has been on many TV shows.  Her first TV show was “Is She Really Dating Him?” with her boyfriend Justin.  She has been on Jersey Shore (all 6 seasons),  The View, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Wendy Williams Show, and WWE Raw. She has starred in the movie “The 3 Stooges.”On the first season of Jersey Shore, Snooki was punched in the face by a male gym teacher the guy got arrested and was released on bail. 

From sloppy to put-together the Jersey shore cast mate Snooki had been on all 6 seasons of Jersey Shore and her sloppish ways to now having a baby, being engaged to her fiancé Jionni LaValle and having her baby Lorenzo Dominic LaValle. A hit reality TV show called “Snooki & JWOWW” is about her and her best friend, Jenni Farley. Not partying and drinking every night is a good thing for Snooki just for her to get back on track.  After having her baby, , Nicole lost all of her baby weight.

Over the years, Snooki has made some significant changes. A few of these are drinking and partying less, meeting her fiancé, and having a son. Snooki’s friend, Jenni, went through these same changes (besides having a baby) and helped Snooki along the way. These changes helped her because she can be a good mom and have a successful marriage. Snooki recently said,  "I mean I definitely partied for like three people my entire life…I feel like now, you know, I have a family, I have a baby now, and this is just like a new chapter in my life and I love it. I'm just so excited" (Saad). Snooki is obviously grown up now.   J

Author’s Note:  I  wrote this piece to understand creative pieces.  I  did who am I?

With a some clues, facts, details and favorite things. I am going to describe a famous person to you.  Your goal is to guess at the end who I am.  Good luck. 

I was born November 23, 1987 in Santiago Chile. Also, I got my nick name from the movie Save the Last Dance. At the age of six months, I was adopted by an Italian American family.  I have appeared on a MTV dating reality show in 2009 but producers said that they liked me so much that they put me on Jersey Shore. I wrote a book and it sold poorly and got bad reviews.  Pickles are delicious and I love them.  I was punched in the face at a bar by a male gym teacher.  I am also famous for my hair poof.  Due to entertainment, I had been able to receive my own reality TV show with my best friend.  Avon is my makeup of choice because when I’m at the club dancing, other makeup brands will drip down my face.  In high school I battled an eating disorder and dropped to 80 pounds. I would only eat at lunch and it got so crazy that some days all I would eat is a cracker or a cucumber slice.  With help from my high school nurse, I overcame my disorder.  I have been featured on the cover of people magazine but not as the main subject.  I gave birth to a baby boy on August 26, 2012 at 3:00 am named Lorenzo Dominic LaValle.  I’m engaged to Jionni LaValle. 

Based on these clues that I just gave you can you guess who I am?

In Trapped by Michael Northrop, the story is written in Scotty’s point of view. Scotty is one of seven kids stuck at their high school because of a snow storm. From this perspective, a lot of events and characters are described in a way that creates sympathy in the reader because he is stuck at school without being able to see his parents.

One way that Scotty’s point of view influences the reader’s interpretation is how this perspective shows being stuck at school because of a snow storm.  I feel bad for Scotty because he is stuck at school with his friends without being able to see his parents. 

However, the I  would feel different about being stuck at school if the book was written by Mr. Jones’ point of view.  For example I would feel calm and relaxed because he is an adult and has the situation under control. 

As you can see in Trapped the narrator’s perspective would make the reader worried and sad by describing how the students are stuck at school because of a storm.  They just want to go home with their parents. 

It is important to understand the narrator’s point of view because it would be told differently from another person’s point of view

Authors note:  I wrote this to demonstrate my understanding of theme.

I’m doing my theme about a book called dolphin song.  It is about two girls walking along a beach in Florida and up ahead of them they see something lying on the shore and they don’t know what it is so they go up ahead of it to find out what it is and they realize that it’s a dolphin so they call the animal police and they come. The people take the dolphin to the hospital.  And they to figure out what’s wrong with it.  So they find an arrow in the dolphin heart so they try to get it out but they can’t get the arrow out.  But they have to say that the dolphin is dead that they can’t get the arrow out wit out killing the dolphin. 

For theme I picked choices and decisions because I think that they girls realized that we have to take care of plants and animals. Also because the girls could have left the dolphin there and not even care if it lived died or what is wrong with it and just could have kept on walking like any other person probably would do.

Also the girls felt really good about there selves because they tried to save a life but they just couldn’t they basically felt sad and happy about what they have done and what has happened. I think that there could have been another theme that is coping with loss or death because they are the ones who found the dolphin and they tried to save its life but they couldn’t so now they kind of have to deal with it being dead.  But its not like having a mom or a dad die.
